Socialization of the Democracy Index by BPS to Kesbangpol

In an effort to enhance the understanding and utilization of the Indonesia Democracy Index (IDI), the Head of the Central Bureu of Statistics (BPS) Banyuwangi Regency conducted a socialization session with the Head of the National Unity and Political Agency (Kesbangpol). This event aimed to highlight the importance of IDI as a tool for measuring democratic development in Indonesia. The session also stressed the need for accurate data collection in the political party membership training activities to obtain valid and useful data for the development of better and sustainable democratic policies.

During the session, the Head of BPS explained the data collection methodology and analysis used in the preparation of IDI. This is expected to increase participation and cooperation between Kesbangpol and political parties in providing the necessary data. Additionally, discussions on the role of training in strengthening democracy at the local level were a key part of this socialization. It is hoped that these efforts will significantly contribute to improving the quality of democracy in Indonesia.
