Abstract

In March 2025, Banyuwangi experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 1.89%. This y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected by the rise in the expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverages, and tobacco group by 2.11%; the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group by 1.48%; the health group by 2.55%; the transportation group by 2.02%; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.02%; the education group by 2.91%; the food and beverage/restaurant group by 0.89%; and the personal care and other services group by 15.13%. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in their indices were: the clothing and footwear group by 0.43%; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 7.09%; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.67%.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Banyuwangi in March 2025 were 1.50% and 1.22%, respectively.
