Abstract

In April 2025, Banyuwangi recorded inflation of 0.77% (m-to-m), 2.00% (y-to-d), and 2.38% (y-on-y).
The main m-to-m contributor was the Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel group, with 9.85% inflation and a 0.74% share, mainly from electricity tariffs (0.73%). The top deflation contributor was bird’s eye chili, deflation at 0.28% and a deflation rate of 27.91%.
Y-on-y, the main contributors were: (1) Personal Care and Other Services (18.74%), mainly gold jewelry (1.32%); (2) Education (0.12%), mainly higher education and universities (0.07%); and (3) Health (0.07%), mainly liniment and vitamins (0.02% each).
